Slán le Mrs. Gilley.

Today in Scoil an Athar Tadhg we celebrated the retirement of Deputy Principal, Mrs. Mary Gilley. Throughout the day Mary was the centre of attention as we attempted to appropriately celebrate her 36+ years working in our school.

In the morning we hosted three assemblies during which the pupils, from all class levels, sang, recited poetry and celebrated many aspects of Mary's career.

In the afternoon, Mary's tenure in Scoil an Athar Tadhg was celebrated in the school hall where staff members were joined by Mary's family and friends, former colleagues. and members of the BOM and PA.

Principal, Cormac Duggan, officially got proceedings underway and many more wonderful contributions from staff members, Rosaleen MacWhinney and Catherine Meehan and of course Mary herself made it a special day.

Mary was presented with some tokens and gifts from the staff, BOM, PA and her family.

From all of us in Scoil an Athar Tadhg, we wish you a healthy and happy retirement!
