Sciath na Scol Final

Updated: Nov 12, 2018

On the 8th of November the girls Sciath an Scol final, against Ballygarvan, took place in Páirc Uí Rinn. From past experiences we knew it would be a tough game. With our crest displaying proudly on our jerseys we ran out onto the pitch in great excitement. As we lined up as a panel our names were called out by the commentator. When we completed our warm up, Mr. Hanaifn, Ms. Reen and Ms. Carey gave us a pep-talk and we were ready for the game!

With the crowd cheering, the referee blew his whistle and threw up the ball. At half time the score was 2-1 to 0-0 in favour of Ballygarvan, we were devastated but we didn't let the scorline rule the rest of the game. We didn't stop trying and in the second half we scored 1-1. Unfortunatley when the final whistle blew Ballygarvan had won. Even though we were beaten by a better team we enjoyed the experience. We would love to be as successfu when the camoige starts.....Scoil an Athar Tadhg abú!
