This year, the children in 4th and 5th class have been working hard in preparation to participate in the National Children’s Choir. This initiative is a bi-annual school based choral experience and provides an opportunity for the children to develop their music literacy skills. It also gives a wonderful chance to perform as part of a large choir with other local schools with the accompaniment of an orchestra.
The children learn an extensive repertoire of songs and perform a range of genres such as classical, pop and musical theatre. This year’s concert will take place in Cork City Hall on March 27th and is sure to be a fantastic experience for all involved.
