Irish olympic rower, Claire Lambe, visited Scoil an Athar Tadhg on Wednesday morning to speak to the 5th and 6th classes about her journey to the 2016 Rio Olympics. She competed in the Olympic final of the women’s lightweight double scull where she (and her rowing partner Sinead Jennings) finished in 6th place. The children were gripped by Claire’s story of dedication and perseverance that ultimately led to her achieving her dream of representing Ireland at the Olympic Games. Claire’s story was truly inspiring and will live long in the memory of all who were present. Go raibh mile maith agat Claire!
