Mr O' Shea's 6th Class pupils worked on some Maths, technology and engineering skills this week. They learned about circles and the relationship between the radius, diameter and circumference of circles. They explored circles in the environment and how they can be used eg. soccer pitches, signs, bridges etc.
They worked on technical graphics skills to draw circles with their protractors and label the various parts. They even created colourful bubbles during art!
The pupils also learned about electrical circuits and they worked in groups to build simple circuits with switches and light bulbs.
After all that, it was a perfect way to finish off learning about circles and teamwork with our parachute games.
