We had our first breakfast club in the Blackbirds and Wrens Room last Thursday. It was a fantastic morning where the children helped prepare and eat breakfast. Mr. Duggan, Mr. O’Brien, Caitríona and Noel were invited by the children to join us too.
The children worked on many skills including
-setting the table
-pouring the milk/orange juice
-eating cereal using a spoon
-buttering their toast
-cutting their toast and sausages
-eating their sausages using a fork
-washing and drying their own cup, plate, bowl and cutlery
We are already looking forward to our next Breakfast Club in April!
